Wayside Cottage is an attractive period cottage, parts of which date back to the 17th Century. Situated in the picturesque village of Tendring, it is convenient to many excellent pubs and restaurants in the locality, whilst being ideally situated for the ferry port of Harwich

Close by to visit are the renowned gardens of Beth Chatto, a must for any garden lover. The Roman town of Colchester and the beautiful countryside of Dedham and Flatford where Constable painted many of his famous pictures are also within easy reach of the cottage.

Many interesting walks can be found in either the woodland reserve, beside the River Stour estuary or along the coast. Also nearby are many coastal resorts with beautiful sandy beaches with good swimming available.
